Most infamously of the FreddysPlus locations was The Jolly Fantasy Factory, featuring the animatronics Jolly the Bee and George the Tiger. For any Filipino readers in the audience, you might recognize Jolly immediately from the fast food chain Jollibee.
This location wasn’t actually licensed by Jollibee Foods Corporation, meaning the location was under operation using an unlicensed character. The company soon took notice and demanded the place to be shut down for copyright violation. In response to the threat, the Jolly animatronic was changed from red to blue along with some slight alterations to distance itself further from the original Jollibee character.
The place turned out to be haunted by two spirits: Daniella Graham and Eric Smith.
Prior to the restaurant’s opening, Daniella’s beheaded corpse was found outside a garage shed previously holding the two animatronics, her blood found on the hands of the George animatronic. Graham’s death had occurred just days before her graduation ceremony, with her closest friends denying they had met her at the day of her death.
Eric Smith, meanwhile, actually worked on the Jolly and George animatronic, even suggesting the character design changes of Jolly when Jollibee’s threatened the company. Unfortunately, Smith was fatally electrocuted while working on his own passion project, resulting in an area black-out and his wife and daughter irreconcilable.
The place closed down due to a ceiling collapse damaging the animatronics beyond repair. The reason for the ceiling collapse remains hotly debated by fellow Fredstorians. Some are content with the reason being a lack of structural integrity, though others suspect something more paranormal might’ve influenced the collapse.
I was also gonna give him a round head, but that'd be boring when Jolly has the exact same head shape. So, it's an oval now.
Doesn't look much like a tiger, but the same goes for the original design. I guess we're both at a standstill in terms of stylization...
