Kluns

ha ha. hey everyone. this character section will be shorter than the fnaf one. not a lot to change.

after all, this is only to host designs i've made in the past.

like, what do you want me to do for fnas1? it's just mario and sonic.

you've seen me draw mario and sonic over and over, and over. and over.

Surprise, they're still clones! Having them be robots is so boring nowadays...

Some people like to call this Ballsack Sonic

To explain myself, the moisture of the blood when Golden Sonic bit down on someone caused his muzzle to be dislocated. He tried fixing it back on, but that resulted in the messy work you see before you.

When he couldn't fix it back on, he wiped away his hands of his own muzzle, which is why you see the wipe on the ridge of his eye.

He's also been in storage since 1991. That's a couple of decades of rotting. He's completely atrophied and become crusty! His legs have merged into a solid mass, so he's gonna have to sit there.

Well, unless he can try and rip open his own skin. But that's excruciatingly painful. Would he really do that?

Withered Sonic

Withered Sonic

To get you up to speed, the Withered Clones are the clones from the 2015 FNaS1 location, left to rot until the 2017 FNaS2 location. So they're a bit worn down I'd say.

The Clones were always a bit more durable than the real things. In KFNaS, they're more non-solid than how they're usually portrayed. Instead of blood and organs, their insides is just a dark material, like bringing a clay figure to life.

Alright, so in my original description of Withered Sonic here, I wrote that his hat has sunken into his head due to the body's liquefaction brought onto the humid storage the Clones were in; bodies were getting a bit soggy. His nose also fell off as it was getting too heavy to support the body.

Most nostably are the big black sacks that used to be his gloves. Anything inside that has deteriorated into just pure cloning material. Good boxing glove material.

"Fusion" is going to be a good theme of the Withereds going further.

Withered Mario

Withered Mario

Withered Mario

"the heat from the oven messed up his integrity" is all I wrote. Sweet, past me...

In the original FNaS canon, Clone Yoshi was fed up with Clone Mario for an unknown reason and she dug his face onto a stove, resulting in the iconic faceless look of his. I told you these Clones are durable.

It's not enough to just make a creepy Mario. You have to defile them. Making them too recognizable makes them look goofy, but making them unrecognizable makes you ask what's the point of even tying them to the original character. That's one reason why I like FNaW's Mario. Love that eyes-only look. You need a good balance to make a good design.

Anyway, as you can see in this design, Withered Mario looks more liquidy compared to the rest. The material he's made out of has completely sunk to his feet.

Oh and the completely molten face

Yeah this is about the stove incident again

Her hands fused to the nose and the tried ripping herself loose, but - oh no - it just caused her nose to be ripped in half. Her tail's also been thinned out along with other miscellaneous melting.

Tsch... Nothing else to talk about. Let's talk about KFNaS lore. I'm quite the 'Classic FNaS' purist, so some of the initial crossover stuff's still there, though obviously retrofitted for this universe.

There are a wide variety of property-based animatronic restaurant ventures. My Little Pony, The Powerpuff Girls, and Sonic yet again by SEGA. That location's got animatronics rather than clones, including a Tails animatronic whose fur got singed off during a company BBQ like in the original FNaS Reimagined series.

I can't really respect the source material of the One Week with Ponies games since a ton of them became lost media so I can't really pull anything of use out of them. Did you know there are 5 games in the series, the latest one released in 2016? I didn't even know there was a 4th one till 2022!

Ultimate Nintendo Night's still up for debate if I want to include it or not. Probably some extremely failed venture in branching out the Super Smash Bros. IP.

Withered Tails

Withered Tails

Withered Tails

Being in dark storage for quite a while turned the Clones inside quite bleak. Lack of any fitness also made Tails specifically frail and skinny, so his deadly deal is moreso being as swift and quickly as possible. Oh and his hand merged with his hook.

If you've read the Story page, you'd know that all of the restaurants are on Earth rather than Mario or Sonic's World. Time also goes faster on Earth, which is why Mario and Sonic seemingly don't age throughout all the decades of KFNaS's story.

Think of it as a rough 1:10 ratio on how fast things go, so interplanetary travel doesn't happen all that much; imagine travelling to another planet for 6 months, return, and see everyone you love had aged 5 years.

Very stupid, and selfish. Anyway, so from the perspective of those from Mario & Sonic's worlds, the clones had only been in storage for 2 or 3 months at most. Still quite cruel, but the status of the clones were only known to a select few people.

A select few that didn't really care for the clones as the real deals still existed.

Guess who ripped open their own skin just to be able to stand? What are we, some kind of Killing Joke?

Anyway, as I've said earlier about '15 Golden Sonic, his skin has become quite crusty. So now it's become loose enough for him to rip it apart like paper.

He could also tear open his sealed muzzle. People sure do like to disfigure themselves in order to survive.

Not sure what killing an Amy clone has to do with survival though. I guess we can chalk that up to a mental fit.

'27 Golden Sonic

This is the only Five Nights at Sonic's 3 rep you'll see. Don't have plans to draw Salvage Sonic, the Phantoms, or the Withered Toys. I haven't even drawn the regular Toys!

Look at this Golden Sonic. At this point, the only skin left on his body is on his head. Even then, his quills have started to rip itself apart from all the looseness. His intestines too, stretched and warped, form around him like a demented robe.

I've always liked '27's glowing row of teeth. I wanted to respect that while still making sense with all the prior designs.

You can also see how much more progressively his hat sunk into his head. You can scroll back up to '15 to see the first wrinkle on that hat.

This is me noticing it after the fact, but his ribcage there sure looks like a bowtie. Definitely not intentional back when I drew him, but I should keep that in mind for when I draw future skinless freaks.

Nightmare Sonic

Nightmare Sonic

Nightmare Sonic

After Salvage Sonic escaped the burnt pizzeria in FNaS3, he journeyed back to the 2015 FNaS1 location to use the cloning machine there and rebuild his fallen friends. Mario, Yoshi, and Tails were definitely made, but Salvage got ambushed by the further-deteriorated Nightmare Golden Sonic and stuffed into the Toymare.

After his death inside the art project, Nightmare Sonic got made.

The Nightmares in KFNaS were designed under the assumption that the cloning material inside the building had aged significantly, that there wasn't enough material, and that the data for the original samples got corrupted. Basically a lot of things that would mess up the cloning process.

Here, with Nightmare Sonic, I decided to give him a look akin to a black hole. Developer statements back during Sonic 3's development stated Knuckles' crest is meant to parallel Sonic's stomach, them being the moon and sun respectively.

That's why I designed him after a black hole. Those are dead suns.

Original Design

Nightmare Mario

Kluns' Design

Nightmare Mario

Nightmare Mario

The KFNaS Nightmares are based on black metal logos. Branchy, thorny, too abstract to be read by anyone.

Nightmare Mario here looks like a deflated pumpkin. Rather than a pair of ears, it's a pair of branches that have ripped open a hole through his head. Speaking of branches, the hole torn at the middle of the head continuing through his body sure does look like a pine tree.

These Nightmares sure do look like spectres wearing loose-fitting clothes, like a classic ghost under some sheets.

KFNaS4 still has Luigi playable. Though, if you've read the Story, you'd know it's one of those purposefully-made disposable clones. So, while these Nightmares can absolutely be crumpled to pieces with a good enough fist fight, this Luigi clone will absolutely die. Especially so when he's been eroding for more than a decade inside that building...

Man, how would a disposable clone look like after more than a decade of inactivity? Must not be pretty.

Original Design

Nightmare Yoshi

Kluns' Design

Nightmare Yoshi

Nightmare Yoshi

This definitely communicates clearly that there wasn't enough cloning material. Would you look at that, half of her entire body's just gone!

The upper half of her strands are flayed upwards, meant to reference her eyelashes.

Hmm. Guess I can use this space to compliment the original Nightmares. I really like how they look. It's probably not intentional, but certain parts of their bodies glow brightly compared to the rest of the body.

Gloves, Tails' hook, Yoshi's spines. They're very reminiscent of bioluminescent plants. If you're up to making your own designs of the Nightmares, you can either use these comparisons to make some freakily cool designs.

I think my Light FNaS designs were based on that specifically. Or probably not. It's been a long time, you see.

Man these descriptions get less professional as we go on.

Original Design

Nightmare Tails

Kluns' Design

Nightmare Tails

Nightmare Tails

In a previous design I gave him more humanoid proportions, complete with a visible hook even. After reading a note where they aren't as properly abstract like Mario & Yoshi, I redesigned them in the same month I'm making this website right now!

Yeah you can tell with the lineart this is a more recent drawing, ha ha

Nightmare Tails here is meant to combine both an ouroboros, a spider, and some tangential inspiration off of Disembodied from Five Nights at Treasure Island.

Those hairs on those tendrals are pretty sharp. Don't go touch em.

I didn't have enough space back at the Withered Yoshi space, but I'll go say that Evolution Execution's canon as well. It was another venture. But where? I'll never tell, we focusing on SHPP here!

The Toymare

Kluns' Design

The Toymare

The Toymare

I just made a 2D Transformers animator have an aneurism.

Yeah don't expect this design to stick around in future drawings. Still, he looks quite gnarly right? In the original canon, the Toymare is a bunch of jumbled-up Toy animatronic parts, then brought to life when Nightmare Golden Sonic killed our Salvage Sonic and stuffed him inside the suit.

The logistics behind this hulk are all over the place. Looks like the cloning material are all keeping it together though.

Makes you wonder what Sonic even looks like inside this thing. All stretched out, one eyeball bigger than the other... The thought keeps you yummy with creativity.

I wrote that the hat inside his head has buried a hole large enough to give Golden Sonic enough of an "open mind" to think more clearly. Sounds pretty cool

Anyway you can see his whole body crystallizing due to the elements. Mind you, he experienced a building fire and then had to move from one pizzeria to the next. It's probably different to you guys in the United States, but it takes quite a while to get from one pizzeria building of the same brand to the next.

His teeth have also merged together, but uneven and jagged.

Very, very angular.

Origin Sonic

Origin Sonic

Origin Sonic

That's definitely Sonic the Hedgehog but Yellow.

Guess I can go give a lore recap. Five Nights at Sonic's 5 is the only prequel in the FNaS series and takes place in 1991. In-universe his name is still 'Golden Sonic', but he's referred to as 'Origin Sonic' out-universe. The reason he turned yellow with green shoes is due to faulty cloning technology at the time. Still, the kids loved him as the only performer at Sonic's Fast Food Diner.

After being bothered by future versions of himself thanks to the time-travelling meddling of Shadow Sonic, Origin suffered a breakdown and bit down hard on Dr. Eggman, who had applied as a night guard to spy on Tails' plans. That was ultimately the 'Bite of '91' that shut down Sonic's Fast Food Diner.

Original Design

Shadow Sonic

Kluns' Design

Shadow Sonic

Shadow Sonic

I kind of set myself up here. I need a lengthy description to justify the amount of text that's on the right (you mobile users don't know what I'm talking about.)

Lore time! In the original canon, Shadow Sonic is just inexplicably able to travel back in time, all the way from 2027 back to 1991.

In KFNaS, the rules of time travel remain just like Sonic's: two Chaos Control users using a Chaos Emerald. Seeing as the Clones here are made using Black Arms DNA, Shadow Sonic is perfectly capable of using Chaos Control. Now, where would he get a second user?

I mean, he can't just harvest the Sonic clone from inside the Toymare and force that clone to merge with him for it to count as two users, right?

Right?

Original Design

Dr. Golden

Kluns' Design

Dr. Golden

Dr. Golden

I already quite like the original Dr. Golden, so this was a tough thing to do.

Alright, so in my notes I wrote that I gave him more Eggman traits. Well, that's quite obvious seeing as I turned his black tears into a moustache, give him Eggman's clothes, and shaved his quills off for that roughly bald look.

In hindsight, the shave makes him look like an English football fan who swears he's not racist but always manages to hang out with racists.

This design was made in context with the original FNaS story, so this doesn't quite fit the KFNaS Story I'm telling. Sorry gang. Still, it's shared here regardless because it's a Klunsdesign original.
